THOUGHTS
Israel’s history of a high priest is an wonderful study. A special person stood
between the Nation and God in all things pertaining to God. Christ became
our PERFECT HIGH PRIEST!
Heb 2:17 Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all
things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to
God, to make
propitiation for the sins of the people.
Heb 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly
calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;
Heb 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has
passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
confession.
Heb 4:15 For
we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One
who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 6:19-20 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a
hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where
Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest
forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Heb 7:26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high
priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the
heavens;
Heb 8:1 Now the main point in what has been said is this:
we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the
throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
Heb 9:11-14 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the
good things to come, He
entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands,
that is to say, not of this creation;12 and not through the blood of
goats and calves, but
through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained
eternal redemption. 13
For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling
those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how
much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to
serve the living God?
Heb 10:18-22a 5 Now where there is forgiveness of these
things, there is no longer any offering for sin. 19 Therefore, brethren,
since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the
veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over
the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart
in full assurance of faith...
My Prayer:
O God, the picture and place of Christ Jesus in our lives is awesome and we
thank you. We have relationship with you through him Father. He
intercedes and mediates for us with you. How great is your love and how
tender your mercies O God. We love and praise you.
In Jesus blessed name Amen .
